Nasal bumps are protrusions found on the nose. These protrusions, also called nasal humps, can be caused by genetics or they can be acquired through injuries to the nose. There are two types of nasal humps: one that protrudes forward, called a convex hump, and another that is more prominent to the side, called a concave hump. Other deviations on the nose can be droopy nose tip, dents or hollow areas, and asymmetry or unevenness.

Non-Surgical Nose Job

A non-surgical nose job uses dermal fillers to even out hollow places, create balance and symmetry, and in some cases correct previous surgical mistakes from a rhytidectomy. The filler is a liquid (hyaluronic acid) that expands underneath your skin to fill in imperfections and hollow areas, creating smoothness and volume. The dermal filler can last anywhere from 8 months to 3 years depending upon which filler is used.

Non-Surgical Nose Job Procedure

The non-surgical nose job reshaping procedure takes about 15-30 minutes and is relatively painless. The treatment is done in a lying down position. Dr. Tantawi will thoroughly cleanse the area to be treated and apply a local topical anesthetic to the area. Once the area is numb he will inject the dermal filler into the area. You may feel a slight feeling of pressure as the filler is being injected. Areas targeted may be the bridge of the nose, tip of the nose, or anywhere that may need volume.

Recovery From a Non-Surgical Nose Job

The great thing about getting the non-surgical nose job is that there is no downtime. You will be able to return to work the same day and resume your regular activities as soon as you like. There will be some redness and swelling after the injection. You can put an ice pack on the area to bring down the swelling. Within a couple of hours the filler will start to settle. The redness and swelling will go away within a few days. You will notice the results in a week or two.
