Pearly Penile Papules Treatment

Treatment with laser is non-invasive and has a short downtime. In some cases you may need more than one session. Dr. Tantawi will cleanse the area to be treated and use a local anesthetic to numb the skin. He then targets the individual papules with the laser. The laser heats the papule which exfoliates and destroys the papule tissue. It is important to make sure you are treated by a professional like Dr. Tantawi, who is highly skilled and has performed many PPP removal treatments. Scarring can occur if the removal is not done properly.

PPP RECOVERY

Recovery from PPP treatment takes 7-10 days. There will be some crusting and flaking of the skin. There is minimum pain which you can take Advil or Tylenol for. PPP does not return once it has been ablated.

Incisions are made inside the nostrils to alter the nasal bones depending on the patient’s desired result. Cartilage may be trimmed. The nasal passages are then packed and an external splint is applied.
