The Coolpeel® Procedure

The amazing and revolutionary technology that makes the Coolpeel® laser different is how it controls it’s output, and the precision in which an area can be targeted. By emitting short high energy pulses, it resurfaces the superficial layer of skin without the heat that would damage surrounding skin. The laser can be targeted to one area, or your entire face with dramatic results.

The nice thing about the Coolpeel®, is there is no anesthesia, and the treatment only takes 15-30 minutes depending on the area to be treated.

Your procedure will start with cleansing your face. A topical numbing cream will be applied upon your request. You will be given eyewear to cover your eyes and protect them from the light of the laser. The laser will be passed over the area and you will feel short pulses of energy being delivered to your skin. When the treatment is finished you can leave and assume your regular activities. The results will be immediately noticeable and your skin will continue to improve for the next six months.

Recovery from a Coolpeel®

Your skin will be red or pink for up to 48 hours after your treatment. It will feel like a mild sunburn. It’s important to keep your face moisturized at all times and stay out of the sun. After a few days your skin may begin to flake and might feel itchy and your new skin will begin to be revealed. Dr. Tantawi will give you instructions and let you know what products to use during the healing process. Within three days you should be able to wear makeup and sunscreen. For best results 3 treatments are suggested. Dr. Tantawi will give you a time schedule for the treatments at your consultation.
